Initial Account Verification
State regulations require us to verify your identity before you can access live classes. You must complete this one-time setup after registering an account or enrolling a course with us.
- Submission: Go to the Identity Verification section. You must upload a clear Headshot, a Government-Issued Photo ID, and provide your Digital Signature.
- Usage: These documents create a reference profile. Every time you join a live class, your live photo will be cross-referenced against these documents. Your digital signature is used for official attendance records.
- Status: You may start using features and joining classes immediately after submission, even if your status is "Pending Approval."
How to Join a Live Class
Follow this step-by-step process to enter your session:
- Dashboard: Look for the "Live Upcoming Sessions" section. You do have a blue refresh button to update upcoming live sessions.
- Join: Click the green Join Now button next to the relevant class.
- Read & Accept Student Agreements: Scroll to the bottom of the Student Agreement and click Agree and Continue.
- Class Rules & Procedures: Read the Class Procedures/Rules and click Continue.
- Live Verification:
- Allow your browser permission to access your camera.
- Click Take Headshot and Take ID Photo.
- Review the preview. If the images are clear, click Submit and Join Class.
- Waiting Room:
- If the instructor has not started yet, you will be in a waiting status.
- You will hear a specific sound notification when the instructor joins.
- Once the instructor is present, a blue Join Now button will appear. Click it to enter the classroom.
Live Class Attendance & "Away Time" Rules
To receive credit, you must meet the Strict 80% Attendance Rule.
- The Math: If a lesson is 100 minutes long, you must be "Active" for at least 80 minutes. 79.99% is a FAIL.
- What is "Away Time"?
- Switching tabs (browsing other sites).
- Minimizing the browser window.
- Letting your computer sleep/lock.
- The Consequence: Away Time is deducted from your attendance. If you drop below 80%, you get No Credit.
Lesson Challenges
- What are they? Random 4-digit codes appear on the screen to prove you are watching.
- Alerts: You will hear a specific sound when a challenge appears.
- The Rule: If you miss two (2) challenges in one lesson, the lesson is marked Incomplete.
Lesson Recovery (Retakes)
If you fail a lesson (e.g., "Topic ABC") due to attendance or challenges:
- You do not fail the whole course.
- You can retake "Topic ABC" the next time it is scheduled (e.g., the following Monday at the same time).
- You must join fresh and meet the 80% requirement during the retake.
Late Arrivals & Rejoining Classes
We understand that schedules can be tight and technical issues happen. Here is exactly how the system handles late arrivals and unexpected disconnections, and what you need to do to protect your course credit.
Scenario A: Joining Late (The "Closed Door" Policy)
Classes are treated like physical examinations—once the door closes, entry is restricted.
- The "You Are Late" Screen
- If you attempt to join a class after the instructor has officially started the lesson, you will not enter the classroom directly.
- Instead, you will see a screen that says: "You are Late."
- Requesting Entry
- On this screen, you will see a button to "Request Permission to Enter."
- Clicking this sends a notification to the instructor.
- Instructor Discretion: The instructor has the final say. They may deny entry if joining late would disrupt the flow of the class.
CRITICAL WARNING: The 80% Rule
- Even if the instructor lets you in, the clock is already ticking.
- The Math: To get credit, you must be present for 80% of the lesson duration.
- The Risk: If a lesson is 60 minutes long, you must attend 48 minutes. If you arrive 15 minutes late, you only have 45 minutes remaining. Even if you stay until the end, you will fail the lesson because you cannot mathematically hit the 80% mark.
- Recommendation: If you are significantly late, it is often better to wait and take the class the next time it is scheduled to ensure you get full credit.
Scenario B: Re-Entry (Disconnections & Drop-offs)
If you are already in class and lose internet connection, your battery dies, or you accidentally close the tab, follow these steps immediately.
- The "Dropped Off" Screen
- When you navigate back to the class, you will see a screen stating: "It seems like you dropped off the class."
- This confirms that the system recognized you were previously present.
- How to Re-Join
- Click the "Request Re-Entry" or "Join Now" button on this screen.
- Since you were already verified and present, the instructor is usually notified that you are returning from a drop-off.
- Your Time Logs are Safe
- Data Preservation: The system saves the active time you accumulated before you dropped off.
- Calculation: When you re-enter, your timer resumes.
- Example: You were active for 30 minutes → Internet drops for 5 minutes → You rejoin for 30 minutes. Total Credit: 60 Minutes.
- The "Lost Time" Penalty
- While your previous time is safe, the time you spent disconnected counts as "Away Time."
- If you are offline for too long (e.g., your internet is out for 20 minutes of a 60-minute class), you may fall below the 80% threshold required to pass.

Tracking Progress
In your Dashboard, the My Courses section allows you to track progress. You can view individual topics to see which are "Completed" or "Incomplete" and check the schedule (Dates/Times) for upcoming lessons you need to take.
